Performance Submissions
We appreciate your interest in submitting as a performer for the 7th Annual Idaho Improvathon Festival (IIF). This year's festival will take place March 4th - March 7th, 2027 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Submissions are available from October 1st - November 15th, 2026.

Submission Guidelines
What We Are Looking For
We are accepting teams to perform their specific forms or individuals to perform in our festival mash-ups (ensemble). Our festival is an improvathon (improv marathon). As such, we are only accepting improv-based forms.
We accept long-form, short-form, and any other form of creative improv. Our goals are to bring together high-quality improv groups who are also interested in building community.
We highly encourage groups to stay and watch as many shows as possible, attend workshops, and join the after parties and activities.
Evaluation Process
The Idaho Improvathon Festival will accept up to 24 teams. Submissions are available from October 1st - November 15th.
All submissions are reviewed by the IIF submission committee. All teams submitting will be notified one way or another about if they are accepted to the festival by December 1st .
Accepted teams are expected to confirm their participation by December 15th.
Set Length
Each set/team will get approximately a 20-minute show.
In addition to your set, we pride ourselves in creating other opportunities to get performers on stage again. Please see the "About the Idaho Improvathon Festival" below for more details.
Performance Video
All submissions are required to include a video of your group. Please provide a 15-20 minute unedited recording of the form you plan to perform at the festival.
Please select a video that showcases your group the best and has quality sound. If you submit a Google Drive link for a video, please make sure it is shareable for the committee to review.
About the Idaho Improvathon Festival
The Idaho Improvathon Festival is 4-day improv comedy festival hosted by The Comedy Project (TCP)! This improv marathon includes 20+ hours of performances, 6 improv workshops, and various community building opportunities. The Idaho Improvathon Festival is a celebration of improv as an artform, promote improv education, and emphasizes create an inclusive community.
When and Where
Thursday, March 4th - Sunday, March 7th, 2027, in Pocatello, Idaho at Westside Players (1009 S 2nd Ave, Pocatello, ID 83201).
We want to get you on stage!
What makes IIF unique? Outside of the set for your team. We try to find ways to get performers back on stage for another performance with others! We have various short-form and long-form opportunities to get you some more stage time. The earlier you arrive the more opportunities you have to get on stage. The following are some examples of opportunities we want to get you involved in!
Comedy Versus
We bring together 24 performers in a battle royale to determine the champion of improv! Round by round performers are eliminated through various short-form challenges until we name one champion and the winner of the elusive trophy a champions (a rubber chicken)! Comedy Versus is on Thursday night and runs right into our mixer!
Drunk Prov
We team together with local bar, Club Charley's, to do improvised short-form bar show. Audience members buy drinks for the performers throughout the show as hilarity ensues. Drunk Prov takes place on Friday night! Participants must be 21-years old.
Mash-Ups
We take the most common long-forms know among improvisers and draw performers from a hat and have them jump in together on stage. These mash-ups include a living room, montage, monoscene, bat, and Armando. These mash-ups are spread across the Friday and Saturday performances.
Guests Play with The Comedy Project
A handful of TCP's forms have guest slots. We may grab you as a guest to join us on stage!

Travel Accommodations
Flying in? Pocatello has a small airport that has one flight daily from Salt Lake City.
Another viable option would be the Idaho Falls Airport that is approximately 45 minutes away from town.
For the more cost effective options, consider the Salt Lake City Airport or Boise Airport. They are both approximately 3 hours away by car.
